The indecisive mind

I had a conversation with a dear friend of mine a few days back. we were up to this really stupid game that we kid ourselves with, especially when he have little else to do.. THE " what-do-you-think-I-would-be-best-at" game. each person is supposed to tell the other what he thinks the other person would be good at..

accordingly i raked my brains thinking what she would be good at and i came up with.... "blogging". she is someone who supposedly does a lot of reading and hence should be a decent "blogger". However she dropped a bomb when she asked me for an example..a paradigm u can say as i have successfully managed to flaunt my english skills..god. if only people knew..

so here i am tearing my hair, trying to come up with something that can remotely be regarded as a good english "blog". One imagines that it should not be that difficult. After all a blog is a rather informal..a mere patch of our thoughts written down..its after all not an essay, or even a paragraph that i need to maintain a few protocols regarding its construction.
However when i started this blog i was completely at a loss. i just could not get myself to concentrate at one issue that i would write on. i jumped from a political topic, to the economic crisis at hand, to English Language, something that i have developed a fancy to of late,to the issue of terrorism affecting the world at large, to muslim exploitation,to the convoluted thought process of the fanatics, to our very own cricket, and even to Jesus Christ and the "fallen woman" Mary Magdalene.. i was unsure whether to make it a strictly no nonsense one or to make it a humorous one, and i was even audacious enough to have my thoughts bent on writing a satire.

as would be obvious to the readers of this blog, such flagrant lack of focus hardly permits writing a good 'blog'..i can come up with "oh it is but the multi faceted nature of my brilliant mind" but i have a hunch its something more prosaic like "lack of focus".

Its just that kind of a world. Too many far too many amenities are available to us. the adage "spoilt for choice" never seemed truer. if u need some thing u l find that u are wasting a lot of time tying to decide which of the various options u are going to stick with.and amidst the myriad of amenities available it is but a child's play to choose and select what would suit best the need of a certain person. or what kind of person would suit best the need of a certain amenity.
